The drawing is based on the south Sámi Jakob Nursfjells letter/drawing of complaint to the «Lapp-bailiff», found in the «Lapp-bailiffs* archive. When Jakob Nursfjell was 70-year old he was forced out of the Valley north of Namsos with his family. They had lived in the valley for more than 35 years; keeping a small herd of reindeers and they hunted and fished there. The «Lapp-bailiff» acted on behalf of the rich Collett family who had gotton their hands on the papers of the forest land.
